one morning my steering wheel was very hard to turn so I had it towed to this garage because they had good reviews. They gave me an estimate for $2000 to replace three power steering hoses and the power steering pump. I didn’t have that much money they even offered me financing but I don’t have great credit. I told him I’ll wait until I build up some money and then I had the car towed to my house. Six weeks later a friend of mine came over and told me I should put some power steering fluid in it that’s all it needed to. I have been driving the car now for 10 days without a problem it was only low on power steering fluid. The garage charged me $150 for the estimate but I was never told about this fee until after I told them I didn’t have money to fix it. They tried to rip me off. Today I called them and asked for my $150 and they refused. Stay away from this place. The manager told me I have a power steering leak and was charged $150 because they found the leak. Also today I went to the Dixie garage and had them look at my car and the mechanic told me I have a small leak And since the car is 27 years old it’s not worth replacing the power steering pump but he did say the hoses were still good and didn’t need replacing so now I’m sitting here at the garage writing this review you can believe me or not believe it Up to you. By the way the Dixie garage didn’t charge me anything for looking at it
We regret to hear you were disappointed with your experience. The $150 charge was for the diagnosis, to identify what the problem with the car was. It is a standard procedure in our garage so our team can invest the time needed to identify the issue. This fee is always communicated in advance and we only proceed after the client's approval. After the diagnosis is completed by our team and the client has the information on what the problem is, we do quote the client for the repair. If they can't afford the repair, they can choose what to do with the information gathered. We stand by our business and work hard to offer the solution we believe is best for the client and will keep their vehicle running smoothly for years to come.
